  Excellent for families with children, with disabled members or with elderly members -- or families with young healthy members!! Master and bath on first floor (elderly/disabled). Two beds and full bath on 2nd floor. Large living room. Well stocked kitchen. Large dining room. Well appointed home. This place has it all. I recommend it to everyone!! The only thing that I didn't like was that there were no screens in the windows and I couldn't leave any of them open to get fresh air. The few windows that did have screens were stuck shut. The front door was also stuck shut. If there were a fire, it would be very difficult to get out being that there would be only one escape (stuck windows & front door).

  Franconia Notch Vacations says they understand "vacations are precious and that your comfort is key". Well, they made that true. When we decided that for health reasons we could not stay in the property we originally rented, we were offered this very nice accomodation instead. Which was grewat. The Herbert house is not extremely luxurous, but all you might want is there. It is located on the Franconia - Easton road, near the Interstate, but it is quiet.

  Greetings Heidi, I regret that your experience in Franconia was not all that it could or should have been and wished we had heard from you during your stay so that we may have had a chance to improve your comfort level. All impressions received while you where here seemed positive so a bit surprised to see this review. We truly do believe in our guests comfort so if we might ever have the priviledge of your return to Franconia I assure we will work more diligently to ensure your comfort. The value orientation (lower cost of stay) at The Herbert House may have been difficult for you to see while making your on-line travel plans, so please do call us if you have any questions or particular concerns about our properties folks.
