This three bedroom, two and a half bath air conditioned raised Franconia Ranch style home enjoys the benefits of being close to Franconia Town Center and just minutes from Franconia Notch State Park. All the White Mountains has to offer is really just outdoors. Vacationers staying at The Herbert House will enjoy usage of one of two attached garage bays. Nicely furnished with new hard wood floors throughout, features include a fully equipped kitchen, a separate dining area and living room with wood burning stove. The bedroom on the main level offers a full size bed with private bath while the second and third bedrooms are on the upper level. One offers a full size bed, the other two twins and they share a full bath between them. The large yard is highlighted by high-yielding blueberry bushes for summer guest enjoyment and a 3 season porch for those cooler or perhaps buggy New Hampshire evenings. Another potential bonus in the summer would be the A/C, as all the bedrooms have coverage. Close to mountain and downtown , very convienent, off the high way, but no highway noise, some traffic in front of house, but not at night and back yard very quiet. Stayed for a few months and will return.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is old and a bit quirky, but that added to it's charm for us. The location was very convenient..we could walk everywhere.

This was our second year at the Herbert House and we love the convenient location and ample space that the house offers. We have rented from Franconia Notch Vacations for the last five years and we are always impressed by the helpfulness of the staff and how smoothly our weekend goes. Excellent for families with children, with disabled members or with elderly members -- or families with young healthy members!! Master and bath on first floor (elderly/disabled). Two beds and full bath on 2nd floor. Large living room. Well stocked kitchen. Large dining room. Well appointed home. This place has it all. I recommend it to everyone!! The only thing that I didn't like was that there were no screens in the windows and I couldn't leave any of them open to get fresh air. The few windows that did have screens were stuck shut. The front door was also stuck shut. If there were a fire, it would be very difficult to get out being that there would be only one escape (stuck windows & front door).

Franconia Notch Vacations says they understand "vacations are precious and that your comfort is key". Well, they made that true. When we decided that for health reasons we could not stay in the property we originally rented, we were offered this very nice accomodation instead. Which was grewat. The Herbert house is not extremely luxurous, but all you might want is there. It is located on the Franconia - Easton road, near the Interstate, but it is quiet.
