  • Camp U-No comes aptly equipped with a proper firepit with abundant wood stores found on every edge of the property. An evening by the camp-fire spent roasting marshmellows and telling golf or fishing stores awaits your family or groups enjoyment at Camp U-No. The always running mountain stream just out of site is sure to be enjoyed as well!
  • From the deck and living room window of Camp U-No you can see direclty to Mount Washington's wind scoured summit, weather permitting of course. This property is about as close to living on the Western Slope of Mount Washington as one can get. Secluded! is a word that says a real lot about Camp U-No in winter.
  • This would be looking out and down into the kitchen-dining area which is separeted from the raised living area by 6 steps. Camp U-No is a hunters heaven, hiker's hideaway and Homeaway for any visiting vacationer.
  • Pretty and straight forward, however do note the gas stove. You get hot water regardless of power outages here folks. Not too frequent yet it happens...
  • The Camp U-No is a split level design once past the Kitchen-Dining area with 6 steps leading to the upper floor that includes the living area with door to the deck as well as the Master Bedroom and a full size bath. The lower level offers 2 more bedrooms and another full bath. There's ample White Mountain comfort for everyone... and it is a comfort level that far above camping!
  • Simple, warm, restful... that's what to expect here. Oh, let's not forget the views. There are lots of windows here, most looking up at Mount Washington and the NH's Presidential Mountain Range. You can make your very own AMC Base Camp here.

The full size bath is immediately outside this bedroom's door as will be the deck accessed by the living area. You're likely to start the day by looking off the deck to the grand view beyond or down on what ever wildlife may be happening by that morning. Moose, deer, bear and many, many more opportunities often await.
  • Enjoy two twins beds done in a fresh set of frills in this White Mountain Country style bedroom. The 2 over-sized windows let lots of light in all year round as well as nice cool breezes come spring, summer & fall.

This beautifully converted "camp" is very private and offers lots of room to roam outside with magnificent views of the Presidential Mountain Range right from the picture windows inside and hi-deck just beyond. Working from a split level design, this well decorated home features an eat-in kitchen on one level, and a fireplace fronted wood stove in the cozy living room on another. The master bedroom, located on the upper level, offers guests a Queen size bed, while the 2 bedrooms on the lower level offer 2 twins in one and one daybed plus a trundle in the other. With two full baths, mornings are a breeze. Once you've stayed here we're sure you'll agree that this is the home in the mountains you'll want to return to again and again. Come winter this is the perfect spot for snowmobilers and cross-country skiers! A hi-clearance or 4-wheel drive vehicle is often necessary to gain winter access however.     Very challenging road to drive on during winter. Rental agency shoul give a warning about this road, 4 whell drive warning does not cut it there. The owners should clean out closets to provide storage space. Very small house. It might work for 2 couples Android one child.

      We do apologize, for the over 2 feet of snow that was recieved during the period that these guests where in house did indeed make getting through the road a bit challenging, however proper 4 wheel drive has yet to leave anyone walking in or out. Do note that a large part of this homes appeal is its isolation..., so while not perfect for easy and immediate access to ski areas and attractions, it is perrr-fect for relaxing in a quiet mountain setting.     We stayed at Camp-U-No between Christmas and New Years 2008. The house was very comfortable for our group of six and in a lovely, quiet location. Our only problems were with the extremely icy conditions (the road and parking were not sanded)and a small fireplace which required a window to be open (outside 10 degrees!) and still did not function properly.

      Mother Nature sure dealt us a an icy hand during your visit, and we have spoken to our road agent to ensure better attention to sanding be paid during such situations. Thanks for letting us know. As for the woodstove-fireplace it can be a bit tricky creating the proper draft while getting it lit, however once enough heat has been generated it works like a charm.
