  • What you can not see here is that the tub is the deep Jetted Jacuzzi style. An enjoyable bubble bath awaits you.....
  • Franconia Storybook Cottage is all about comfort, and so is true of the bedroom which is well removed from the rest of the property. It's a quiet place for sure.

The Franconia Storybook Cottage is all that a small family or couple with a pet might ask for. Newly and tastefully renovated, this 1930 Guest Cottage offers much to be enjoyed starting with the wonderful gardens that surround the home. Inside enjoy the light, bright and fully equipped kitchen which is separate from the Dining & Breakfast areas that enjoy access to a fully enclosed back yard. 'Fido' friendly for sure. The living room can be enjoyed either watching a DVD (no cable TV) or perhaps just read a book by the fire. Then put all your good fun to rest in the air conditioned Main bedroom featuring a Queen size bed. When you awake all the flowers and fine views beyond will be waiting...     We loved the cottage, and have always enjoyed the White Mountains, have vacationed there for 25+ years. We will probably stay in the cottage again in the near future. The only issue was a very small one, the CD player will not load the CDs. No big deal, just thought you should know. But a VERY enjoyable week, thank again!!!

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
    LOCATION A BIT STRANGE NOT IN WOODS AS I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT AND BEING FALL I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHEN YARD IS IN FULL BLOOM. COULD SEE MY 2ND WEDDING THERE.

    In general, I'd have to say our stay at Storybook cottage was mostly a good one. No real issues need to be adressed here except maybe for the property itself(not the house )The property needs to be taken care of a little more... especially when it comes to such things as overgrown and dead plants and such. Otherwise, the home itself was in great shape.
    The only real 'downer' during our stay at the cottage ,though, was the fact that there was no cable service provided. For the money we ended up paying, that should have been most definitely included in the amenities. Luckily, the weather was great and we spent a lot of time galavanting around and not all that much time at the home. The kitchen, by the way, was beautifully kept and really well designed.Very classy. Also,the privacy that the cottage provided was very much appreciated ,although another bed or cot would have been nice.The loft itself was designed for younger and slimmer folks than us, I'm afraid. But considering how last minute our entire trip was, I couldn't really complain. In conclusion, I'd have to say, I would do it all again if presented with the same options. Very nice home.....

    The cottage was a perfect place for our family (dog included) to relax and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. We loved the great sunroom at breakfast and the fireplace to warm up to after a day of sightseeing. We had all we needed to have a comfortable stay.
